MathThis week in math we will continue reading and writing decimals in all forms (Standard, Written/Word, Expanded, and Expanded Notation). We will also be representing decimals to the tenths or hundredths as distances from zero on a number line. Students will use a variety of models (base ten blocks, grids, circle models, and money) to represent their decimal on the number line. While creating the number line, students will see and explore equivalent decimals and will be adding a claim statement. For example: I claim 0.3 is equivalent to 0.30 because they both represent the same point on the number line. ScienceThis week in Science we will end our Mixtures and Solutions Unit and introduce or next unit over Energy with a fun Vocabulary activity. There will be a Science Test on Tuesday, September 24th. The review shown below has been glued into your child’s Science notebook.
