MathThis week in math we will begin learning elapsed time. Students will solve to find the amount of time that passes from one time to another. Students will be expected to find the start time or end time using “mountains” to equal hours and “hills” to measure minutes. Also, for extra practice at home, have your child practice telling time to the minute on an analog clock and calculating elapsed time for daily activities around the house. A food chain always starts with sunlight and plant life and ends with an animal. Typically, animals eat more than one food source; consequently, the food chains are interwoven into a food web (a connection of food chains with many food energy paths within an ecosystem).
