Math
This week in math, we will be introducing function tables. Students will complete tables when given a rule and will also be expected to identify the rule for a given table using the input and output numbers provided. Next, we will introduce how to write the rule as a function using variables.
For example: The Welch Ranch sells eggs to the local market each week. If each box contains 12 eggs, how many eggs would be in 5 boxes? Students will generate a table based upon the given rule of multiply by 12. Then, students will write the function: E = B x 4 where E stands for the number eggs and B stands for the number of boxes listed in the input/output table. This week students will review in class to prepare for the upcoming test by playing a Kahoot in class and discussing the test review sent home last week. Students can bring their Science notebook home to study the following topics:
