Math
This week in math we will dive deeper into our geometry unit. At the beginning of the week, students will create a “Geohome” in class. Students will use the digital Geoboard app to create their home and will identify and label all of vocabulary terms we have been learning about. Please download this free app before Tuesday! Below is a picture of what the app looks like for Apple products.
Later in the week we will move into measuring angles on a protractor. We will introduce the protractor with the book: Hamster Champs by Stuart Murphy. Here is the book on YouTube:
Students will need to find the measure of an unknown angle and determine if an angle is acute, obtuse, or right.
Also, please continue to practice fact fluency at home with your child. Your child should know the assigned group of facts they are working on in class. Science
We will have a Science Test on Tuesday, December 10th. A test review was sent home last week and is due Monday, December 9th. Challenge students will take the test before going to Challenge.
